The launch of the Kosas Big Clean Mascara is something I have been hoping and wishing for! Kosas if you don’t know if a brand that has a very “10-minutes face” vibe and all of their products are meant to be quick and easy to use. I have found with all the Kosas products I have used that is the case, they are very quick and easy to use. This mascara is meant to be good for your lashes and is formulated with different oils and other amazing ingredients which is great! I am always on the hunt for something to help keep my lashes feeling and looking good. I was so excited to test the mascara out and there are a few things that need to be noted about the formula if you are going to try it out!

Kosas The Big Clean Mascara

  1. Performance - This mascara wears nicely but it has some things about it that you discover once you start to use it! Two coats of this mascara give you the most beautiful fluttery lash look! The dry down of this mascara is longer than average because it is a thicker, waxier formula. So you have to give it a minute or two to dry or it can smudge. Also, the tip of the mascara wand needs to be cleaned off before applying the mascara because it can get messy and clumpy if you don’t clean off the excess product that collects at the tip of the brush. Once everything is dried down this mascara wears so nicely all day! It holds a curl well, I only noticed my lashes dropping ever so slightly at the end of the day. Another thing to note with this mascara is that if you are wearing a concealer and you apply the mascara on your bottom lashes you need to set that concealer because if not you will look like a raccoon fast!

  2. Texture - This mascara has a very unique texture because it is very waxy which sounds bad but it’s not! I enjoy the texture and it gives you a super fluttery lash. This mascara performs best with two coats however if you want to do three you can you just need to let the first two coats dry first or it’ll be a mess because of the waxy texture. One coat of this mascara is awesome and I was shocked by how amazing my lashes looked with one coat!

  3. Comparison - This mascara is right up there with some of my favorite clean beauty mascaras! In Comparison to the Lily Lolo Big Lash MascaraHynt Beauty Nocturne Mascara, and Ilia Mascara, The Big Clean Mascara is waxier and wetter in formula and takes longer to dry. However, I like The Big Clean Mascara just as much as those other mascaras! If you are on the hunt for a new mascara in the clean beauty world this one is worth a try for sure!

  4. Price - This is $26 which is pretty average for a more high-end mascara and It is worth it!

  5. Vegan - No, this is NOT vegan.
